Understanding Soil Health and Watershed Function: A Teacher's Manual
I spent several years developing discussion questions and hands-on investigations for farmers, students, and conservation groups to understand how to secure abundant clean water, and resilience to flooding and drought, by working with nature's simple principles and processes.
The activities in this facilitation manual are appropriate for adults as well as young adults (and can easily be adapted for younger students as well). It is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards for ease of use by high school teachers. For those who want to learn more, we offer workshops, and a variety of online courses through the Land and Leadership Initiative.
