Welcome to my website! This is the best place to find out where I'm teaching and reading, how to contact me or schedule an event, and also to get up-to-date event information and photos for a book review or a press release about an upcoming event. You can also find past interviews with me, read reviews of my book, and as time goes on, read more of my writing on the blog.
Since "The Ecology of Care" came out, my work has shifted towards much more teaching, public speaking, and writing. I still see some patients, but I am on the road a lot of the time.
In other ways, my work hasn’t really changed at all. I still work with human health, nutrient dense food, and complex living systems. But I’m as likely to be speaking to a group of farmers about the importance of growing more microbes in their soil as I am to be speaking with a mother about the importance of including microbially rich foods in her child’s diet.
My work with the non-profit Soil Carbon Coalition has allowed me to travel the continent, talk to people I never would have had a chance to meet, and get a broad perspective on water, food, health, agriculture, life, politics, and the amazing life of the land.
If you'd like to see some of the curriculum and community learning resources I have been developing for The Soil Carbon Coalition, click here. You can also read updates about that work here.
My work is almost entirely supported by donations from people like you. There are three different ways you can make a donation:
1. You can send me a tax deductible donation made out to The Soil Carbon Coalition (a 501c3 non-profit) at:
Didi Pershouse
PO Box 277
Thetford Center, VT 05075
2. Make a tax-deductible donation to The Soil Carbon Coalition via PayPal or credit card here. I encourage you to contact me to let know you've done so, so we can earmark your donation for my work.
3. If your donation doesn't need to be tax-deductible, you can also send me a donation directly via the button below.
